I gotta keep going because my life depends on me. Going into the new year, fitness is nothing new to me but I like to keep it fresh. There is always something new to do, there is always something new to achieve. I gotta keep going because I’m not doing any of this for for anyone but me. I keep going because my life is worth it.
It’s easy to give up, so I make sure I don’t give into those thoughts. We’re only getting older, so we might as well do what we can to become older gracefully. Which struggle are you going to choose? Become older and weaker and make living harder for yourself? Or are you willing to work hard so you can reap the benefits?
It’s been a little over a decade since I’ve made this transition, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I tell my clients it doesn’t get easier, but it does become tolerable. You make it apart of your life. Just as you would take a shower and brush your teeth, it is something we do as a apart of our routine. Make fitness and yoga (or any mind and body modality apart of your life) make it so your life makes it easier for you to live and enjoy it. Fitness doesn’t have to be difficult, anything in life doesn’t need to be difficult unless you make it so. Look at what you can do, do what you can now, and feel better than before.
I guarantee you’ll feel like you’ve never felt before. Your body will love you, your mind will thank you, and your soul will elevate.
