Snakes In The Bushes

All it takes is to walk down the wrong path. But then again, does it matter which path? You can’t always avoid the hurdles, but you can overcome them.

Always be careful. Always be mindful. And always be in the moment. Take a breath. Count to ten. Don’t overthink, but think it through. The snakes in the bushes are always there, waiting for you to fail, waiting for you to rise, but not all the time. What do you think when you think of snakes? Someone who’s sneaky, untrustworthy, vindictive, what else? Is there anything good?

Snakes in the bushes. It can be anybody in disguise. Does this mean you cannot trust anyone? Be careful, be mindful, and always be in the moment. It never works when we’re always bringing the past with us. It never works if we’re not learning from the past. What is life if we’re not growing? What is life if we’re not moving forward?

The snakes in the bushes are always there. They may seem as if they’re waiting to save you, because they want you to need them, but deep down they really need you. Your growth scares them, because they feel you’ll leave them behind. There’s no comfort staying in these bushes with them. The sticks and thorns are growing, the space is getting smaller. You have to leave, so you’ll learn more, expand, and grow taller.

Don’t allow the snakes in the bushes hold you back. Don’t allow them to suffocate you, throwing you off track.

Stick to your own path.
