Are you currently on an inner child healing journey?
if you’re not, I highly recommend it.
Ever since, I began my self-love journey est. 2016, I also began discovering other areas of my life that needed healing. After many years of people-pleasing and being a workaholic I was in a dark place and felt like I was losing myself. It made me feel like I didn’t know who I was anymore.
I had to go back…
I thought of things and people who really made me happy, and this brought me back to my childhood. I started re-exploring the activities I once enjoyed as a child, and this aided in my training styles and abilities. I fell back in love with movement, such as skating, swimming, jump roping, and riding my bike. And this soon became a part of my fitness routine as a grown woman. I was a very active child, and I enjoyed learning, reading and writing. And to this day, I still enjoy all these things.
Don’t be afraid to discover, or rediscover who you are!
A lot of times I see adults lose themselves because of well….. life. There is so much happening around us, and life is happening everywhere to each and every one of us. We cannot control everything in our lives, but what we can control is how we live. We have the choice to do what makes us happy.
It is all about being intentional!
Do things with a purpose and not just float through life. We may have a lot of different responsibilities and duties, like taking care of our household and career, but you still deserve to take care of yourself too! Healing is not one dimensional as there are many layers to it. When you decide to move with intention, you become more aware of yourself and things that move you/ or distract you. Focus on what makes you feel good and revisit the things that made your childhood fulfilling.
