I Made a PromIse to MYself.

No more. I refuse. The lies, heard them all, the effort, why even try. Them, there, me, here. You see why it didn’t work.

I promise to not put you through anything you’re not going to get anything out of. You don’t need to waste any more of your time. You know what you want. Why settle for less, or anything different than what suits you. It’s not meant for you.

That job, that friend, that man, who again? The relevance of people, and their role, can either be long or short, a lesson or a blessing. Look at the bigger picture. I promise to not ignore the situation, looking back at how I’ve neglected you when I actually needed you. You felt sorry for them, but forgot about their reflection of you. I felt sorry for you, how many broken promises will come not true? How many times can you fall? And how far?

I promised I’d catch you, and now I’m promising to never let go. I’m sorry I didn’t realize this before. You were all I needed, all along. It is easy to get caught up, but you and I have since grown. It’s easier to recognize it now. Your trials and tribulations made me stronger. I’m better prepared now.
