This shift has been a bit more challenging than usual because of stressful events that have come up recently. I was craving sweets (my weakness, especially while stressed out), so I went to the store and purchased grapes to help with the sweet-tooth. I was reminded that although I’m going through a lot, being aware of myself allows me to reconsider my next steps, instead of acting on impulse.
Day 2 involved mostly yoga. I meditated between 5-10 minutes throughout the day, and then about 15 minutes that evening. Because of different things changing in my life right now, I didn’t get much sleep (my anxiety was extremely high). I watched some nature videos on Netflix and that seemed to also help calm me down, but I still didn’t get the best sleep because I was up all night.
Day 3 was better! I made sure I drank plenty of water first thing in the morning and meditated afterwards. Doing this made me feel rejuvenated and it allowed me to have a more balanced day. I did a small workout later in the day and that helped me stay focus, especially having to train other clients!

This is a vegan tofu scramble with Jamaican curry and veggies (sweet potato, zucchini, mushrooms, onions and garlic). The cool thing about doing this challenge is that I get to have fun coming up with cool meals :), instead of ordering out when I don’t feel like cooking 😮 LOL.
And that’s what any challenge should do. Don’t take it too seriously. Have fun with it, and of course take it one day at a time!
