How I Find Peace (Especially When The World Is NOT)

If you’re an empath, introvert, HSP, or all three like myself then you’ll realize when you need peace. You may feel out of it (more than usual), irritated, scattered brain, more sensitive than usual, the list can go on. Lately, I’ve been feeling like I’m being tested, but I also know it’s because of going through a transition in my life. I had to come back into myself to rediscover my peace. Sometimes this can happen when there’s a shift going on, or life begins to happen at a faster rate.

This is a reminder to slow down and just be.

1. Remove Myself!

Sometimes you have to remove yourself from situations and/or people, even if it’s for a little while. I find it important to take a break, or to remove yourself completely. Life is happening and so you want to filter out, and filter in, the things that are or are not serving you. Think of this as a detox. Don’t just detox the body, but also remove things from your mind and your life. Remove yourself from anything you don’t need to be around, or apart of.

2. Get Back To MY Roots!

For me, getting back to my roots means getting back to practices that make be feel grounded. The 8 limbs of yoga is a great way to start. You can always add or make adjustments to what works for you in your life. Having a foundation in general can help get you on, and stay on track, with your life and purpose. When was the last time you felt whole? What is something you can do right now to feel rooted? Meditation can be a start. Find a comfortable position and allow yourself to connect with your chakras.

3. Reconnect with Nature

A lot of us can really benefit from this. Some people don’t think anything of it, but we are all connected to the source, mother nature. Find a park, beach, nature trail, or any place where you can just sit and enjoy its surroundings. I feel charged and relaxed while doing this, and it feels good to be outside clearing away any unnecessary energy. You can even add another element to increase your peace, such as meditating at the park or beach. There are plenty of ways you can implement all of these suggestions together.

4. Read!

If you have ADHD, then this may be challenging for some, but for me reading relaxes me. I especially enjoy reading anything spiritual, so if you have any recommendations please share. Right now, I’m reading a few books at a time (because they go together in a theme) Opening To Channel by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer, Creating Money also by Roman and Packer, and Spiritual Growth By Sanaya Roman. I find it interesting how you can read something and relate to it so much, and yet learn so much. We all have a knowing that’s hidden at times, and once we remove blockages and raise our vibrations, our lives become more clear and purposeful. As a spiritual being, it is important I surround myself with likeminded people. It is important for me to feel connected, especially outside this sad world.

5. Move MY Body!

Working out isn’t just for the body, and yoga isn’t just about sitting in different poses. It’s also about mind and body connection. We have our internal world to tend to, but we often focus on the external world. Moving the body helps rid of extra energy, or unwanted energy. Don’t allow energy that’s not serving you drain you, get rid of it by moving around. Sweat out those toxins, create new energy, check in with yourself, and release any stagnation.

Finding peace doesn’t have to be a tedious task. It would then not be peaceful. However, anything worth having needs your consistency. It is important to find things that work for you, so you can work for it. Create a routine that works for you, and do something peaceful daily. Make a commitment to yourself because you deserve it.
